With growing global concerns around COVID-19, I wanted to provide you with an update on our response to date and our commitment to our clients moving forward.
The health and safety of our team and our valued clients, both here in Toronto and around the world, are our top priority. We are also committed to supporting community officials and government leaders as they work to contain the virus.
At this time, in adherence with the directive of the province of Ontario, we have temporarily closed our physical offices in both Toronto and Markham. However, we are available by phone, WhatsApp or Skype for Initial Consultations for new clients who wish to discuss their individual circumstances and learn more about our services. STATUS EXTENSIONS AND OTHER IMMIGRATION MATTERS
It is uncertain how long the COVID19 outbreak will keep everyone from returning to their usual routines, and during this time many people will have to think about extending or changing conditions of their stay in Canada, perhaps longer than initially expected. The Impact of COVID19 on Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada
The following information is current as of April 5, 2020:
Domestic IRCC operations are reduced to critical services.
Suspensions and Cancellations:
citizenship tests and retests
citizenship and immigration services at temporary IRCC offices
in-person refugee claim appointments
in-person permanent resident landing appointments
in-person hearings and mediations (other than detention reviews) scheduled up until May 3, 2020
non-essential settlement services and biometrics collection services at 58 Service Canada locations.
The IRCC is looking into alternative means to provide permanent resident landing services, including possibly by telephone. Clients will be contacted directly to reschedule their appointment.
